By choosing Mas de Noguera as a tourism/relaxation destination, you are supporting an autonomous sustainable project set up to support people’s health and the environment through cooperative work and the stimulation of the rural economy.
Our facilities are almost entirely powered by renewable energy (solar, wind, hydraulic and biomass).
At Mas you will find ecological farms with Guirra sheep, Friesian cows, chickens and ducks. There are also our dogs and cats, which are all useful in the sustainability of our farms.
We care for their feed with a home-grown, healthy diet that is ecological and sustainable. Our menus are made up of the products of the farm, according to the seasons and the dynamics of the farms themselves. Some of our products include meat, cow’s milk, cheese, yoghurt, honey, eggs, (seasonal) vegetables, pickles, jam, bread, cakes, etc. All of these are produced while respecting the criteria of ecological agriculture and livestock farming.
We have been engaged in environmental education and agrotourism for nearly 40 years, working with the schools in our region and the families and groups who come to visit us.
All of our activities (cattle and ecological market gardening, sustainable food, renewable energy, water use, medicinal herbs, beekeeping and responsible consumption) and fun, practical and educational.
Besides environmental education, our activities encourage non-competitive activities and promote the values of peace, cooperation and happiness. With our work, we underline the importance of maintaining natural ecosystems, encouraging a sustainable relationship between people and natural resources, and stressing the role of the rural environment as a driver of sustainability.
