Torre de la Cárcel

The weakest points of any perimeter wall are its gates, so defensive towers were built next to them as protection. The best example of this can be seen in Segorbe with the Torre de la Cárcel (the prison tower), standing alongside one of the old access gates to the city, the Teruel gateway.

This rural accommodation is located very close to the beach, in the region of Plana Alta.  It was once an old thirteenth century Gothic oven, currently declared as a Cultural Good of Local Relevance. The house has been completely restored, respecting and maintaining the charm of its Gothic building.  It is historically located in the old centre next to the Portal del Sitjar at one of the entrances of the medieval wall that surrounded the village of Cabanes.

Our winery, fruit of the tradition and know-how of previous generations, maintains that essence that allows a wine to be called a Signature Wine. We are one of the most recognised and prestigious wineries in the province of Castellón.

We offer visits that will show you the entire production process from the beginning, how the grapevines are treated to obtain quality grapes and express their full potential, ending the tour in our tasting room with a tasting of our prestigious signature wine Gabriel Mayo Magnanimvs Platino.

Our vineyards, located between the sea and the mountains, give our wines a unique and exceptional personality. The winery, in the midst of the vineyards, allows the grape to preserve its integrity until it reaches the reception table. Our concept is based on a discreet building, half buried and covered by a mantle of vegetation to protect the wine from changes in temperature. We are a bioclimatic winery.

We have different types of guided tours where visitors will always find a walk through our vineyards, through our facilities and a guided tasting with a little accompaniment.

A group of 86 winegrowers from l'Alcalatén, in Castellón, came together to create the winery that now reflects our passion for wine and the land. The way we work the lands, our understanding of the climate of our region and the experience and wisdom of our farmers has made Les Useres the main producer of the distinguished IGP-Castelló label. Our wines, inhabitants of extensive rolling landscapes that shape the beautiful view of this place by the Mediterranean Sea, are expressive wines, full of strength and terroir.

Founded in 1990, our cooperative brings small entrepreneurs together from Alto Palancia. Our La Piel de la Vid wine was the first wine produced by our Cooperative, from the highest vineyards of Palancia.

Located in an idyllic landscape in Les Useres at an altitude of 200m, located only a few kilometres from the sea, our 15 hectares of vineyards have the perfect microclimate for obtaining quality wines. The exterior of our winery is a noble stone building stamped with character. Its walls are decorated with unique murals of pictorial representations dedicated to the harvest.

Located at the Mayo García Winery Estate, this country house has 4 suites and one standard room. With the stay, visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the Mayo García Vineyards and Winery, and taste our prestigious signature wine, Magnanimvs Platinum, selected as the best wine of Castellón in 2011.
