11th CONGRESS ON MILLENARY OLIVE TREES OF THE SÉNIA TERRITORY (28/11/23)

The 11th Congress on Millenary Olive Trees of the Sénia Territory will take place on Tuesday morning, 28th November at the Casa de la Cultura of Ulldecona. During this event, the GIAHS certificate awarded to the Mancomunidad Taula del Sénia and the Sénia Territory association for the Millenary Olive Trees Agricultural System last May in Rome by FAO’s General Director, Mr. Qu Dongyu, will be extended to all sectors that are part of or collaborate with this GIAHS.

After the inauguration by the Authorities, various presentations and events will take place:

Results of the 2023 harvest of the Farga Milenaria Olive Oil Guarantee Mark.

Presentation of the book "“Olive oil and health" by Dr. Eduard Escrig

Before the break, presentation of all the oils of the Guarantee Mark and Act of Recognition to the collaborators of the gastronomy sector.

Enhancement of the millenary olive trees of Catalonia (intervention by Marc Vilahur, General Director for Environmental Policies)

Words from the ambassadors of the Millenary Olive Trees: Oriol Romeu, Paco Zapater and Salvador Capdevila

Tasting of the Sénia Territory oil led by the Heads of the Catalonia, Valencia and Aragon panels.

Acts of recognition for their work in favour of the millenary olive trees to the olive oil sector (owners and companies), to olive oil tourism staff and to local town councils and institutions.
