Apivillores is a project focused on learning and publicising everything you need to know about bees. The aim of the project is to give everyone the chance to get close to these creatures by finding out what it's like to be a bee-keeper, as well as to generate tourism in the small rural town of Villores, contribute to local social and economic development and preserve natural diversity in the surrounding area.
This is a public-private project involving a number of people from the town and the region around it.
The collaboration of the Town Council has been essential to enable this small group of young people to bring their project to fruition and we’re also grateful for the advice provided by the Fundación Amigos de las Abejas (Friends of the Bees Foundation).
The project activities are aimed at groups of adults, children and families, in fact for people of all ages.
During your visit you'll be able to see the world of bee-keeping at first hand, visit the hives, work with the bees and discover their natural surroundings. There are also guided tours of the town and a variety of educational workshops.
If you want to take part in the activities and have a unique experience, all you have to do is contact us by e-mail or by telephone. We'll tell you which days tours are scheduled and if spaces are available.
